How the changes affect you
We are taking responsibility for ensuring that a modern, simplified supply and delivery service is in place for all community pharmacies, dispensing doctors and hospitals, so our medicines are delivered to those who need them, when they need them.
AstraZeneca has appointed AAH and UniChem as our agency partners to deliver our medicines directly to our customers.
This new arrangement replaces the system of supplying medicines indirectly through wholesalers.
Here is a brief overview of how these changes could affect some key groups, but if you have any questions or comments about our new supply and delivery service, please register for updates and stay informed.
Community pharmacists
Our agency partners are maintaining their previous delivery frequencies.
By now you should already have an account with one or both of our agency partners, but if you do not, you will need to set one up.
We have introduced a new discount and rebate structure, which for the first time provides straightforward trading terms for our customers.

Non-dispensing doctors
For the supply of AstraZeneca medicines (a limited range of products) to GPs who are not licensed to dispense medications in accordance with NHS prescriptions in England and Wales, AstraZeneca is working with two further agency partners.
Patients
Patients will not be directly affected by these changes.
AstraZeneca believes that our new, more direct relationship with community pharmacists, dispensing doctors and hospitals will benefit patients in a range of ways.
